Siloam Mission

Today we visited Siloam Mission where students were given a tour of the facilities. Students were able to see what happens to the items we donate (clothing and food). We also learnt many interesting facts such as:
8,147 people volunteered at Siloam Mission just last year
1,300 meals are served each day (600 breakfast, 350 lunches and 350 dinners)
110 beds for people to sleep on
500 the average amount of people who come to Siloam Mission each day
10 doctors volunteer at the clinic in Siloam Mission
1 arts and crafts room
These are just a few of the items we learnt today. I must also take time to say thank you to Mrs. Jennifer Krereluk-Stanley who for the past 3 years has always come to help out on field trips even when we call her 15 minutes before leaving the school.
